Cecilia is currently working as the Nurse Consultant (Cardiac Care) in Kowloon Central Cluster. She has been the nurse-in-charge of Cardiac Nursing service in QEH since 2016. With her knowledge and commitment in cardiac care nursing, the first Cardiology Nurse Clinic has been accredited by HAHO in 2012 in Hong Kong. Other than the clinical services provided, Cecilia actively takes part in cardiac nurses’ simulation training in ECMO, impella and structural heart intervention. She is the core member in setting up 24/7 Primary PCI program in Kowloon Central Cluster and also the coordinator of Structural Heart Team. Academically, Cecilia actively participates in academic activities of the cardiac team of QEH as shown by the numerous abstracts presented, publications and research projects. With the great passion in cardiac nursing development, Cecilia is currently as President of Hong Kong College of Cardiac Nursing.

Dr. Daniel Tai-Leung Chan is a consultant surgeon at Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery of Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong. After obtaining Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery of the College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2009, he pursues advance training in cardiac surgery, especially minimally invasive approaches, in East Carolina University, USA, under the guidance of Prof. Randolph Chitwood. He performed all range of cardiac surgeries from coronaries, heart valve to aorta while his clinical and research interests are in minimally invasive cardiac surgery and transcatheter procedures.

Ms. Chau Mei Yi is a Nurse consultant and serve in hospital Authority. She joined the cardiac service for over 20 years and encountered the evolution of cardiac service development. Thus, several experiences on cardiac disease management and related nursing care was gained throughout her career pathway.

Ms. Chau completed her nursing study on degree and master of nursing in HKU as well as CUHK. Besides, she had attended the overseas training on Adult Congenital Heart Disease in UK and learned specific clinical knowledge on management of ACHD patients in ward by concerning the physical and psychological care as well as discharge follow up. The knowledge which can be used in caring these group of patient in her working area.

Apart from the clinical experience, she got her experience on cardiac related nursing knowledge sharing throughout different lectures or conference presentation.

Structural Heart Intervention (SHI) is an advanced technology which is widely applied for particular cardiac patient. As role of CCL nurse, the expansion of role in management of SHI is concerned.

Dr. Michael Chiang is currently an interventional and structural cardiologist in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He has performed numerous complex coronary, structural interventions and cutting edge hemodynamic support including LAVA ECMO, Transcaval Mechanical circulatory support(MCS), etc. He has published extensively in various high impact factor journal including the JACC series, CCI, JIC, etc. He, along with the QEH Cardiac team, has pioneered the orbital-tripsy technique in tackling heavily calcified coronary disease, which was been published in JACC series. His special interest is in Trans-Caval access and has over 60 cases of Transcaval experience. He has pioneered in modification of the Transcaval technique to tackle difficult Transcaval access featured in JACC Intervention. He has extended the use of Transcaval access for various interventions including AngioVac, MCS, etc. He is also the inventor of Transcaval LAVA ECMO, which has now been featured in TCT and ACC lives cases. He is also the first implanter of LAVA ECMO in Southeast-Asia.

Dr. Raymond Chi-yan Fung is an Interventional Cardiologist. He pursued study at the Chinese University of Hong Kong leading to the award of a Master Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics in 2013. He obtained Hong Kong Heart Foundation Scholarship in the same year and underwent one year overseas fellowship training in the field of Interventional Cardiology at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He is currently the director of World Medical Organisation and vice-president of Hong Kong Hypertension Society. He is also the Consultant Cardiologist/ Catheterization Laboratory Director at Princess Margaret Hospital specializing in Chronic Total Occlusion and Structural Heart Intervention. His areas of interest are Complex Coronary Intervention and Structural Heart Intervention.

Dr. Ko is currently practising in private sector. He is the Honorary Assistant Professor in the University of Hong Kong and the Honorary Associate Consultant of Grantham Hospital. Dr. Ko completed his cardiology training in Department of Medicine, North District Hospital and received Advanced Cardiac Electrophysiology training in Korea University Medical Centre in Seoul, South Korea. Under the guidance of his mentors, Dr. Jeffret Wing-hong Fung and Dr. Young-hoon Kim, Dr. Ko is now a local expert in cardiac pacing and electrophysiology. He is the past President of Hong Kong Inter-Hospital Network of Pacing and Cardiac Electrophysiology (HK-IN-PACE), the formal local cardiology society which is founded with the aim of promoting education, research and advancement of cardiac electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management in Hong Kong.

Dr Lai Tsun Yin Jason is a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at the Department of Anaesthesiology and OT Service of Queen Elizabeth Hospital. After obtaining his fellowship in Anaesthesiology in 2014, he started cardiac anaesthesia training and became a credentialed Cardiac Anaesthestist in Hong Kong. Dr Lai is currently the Team Head of the Cardiac Subspecialty team in the department. 

Apart from cardiac anaesthesia, Dr Lai is also interested in peripheral anesthesia and perioperative medicine. Dr Lai is actively involved in peripheral anaesthethic services, in particular cardiac intervention anaesthesia. He is also the founding  member of the Perioperative Medicine Committee, Hong Kong College of Anaesthesiologists (HKCA)

Wong Chak Yuen is an Advanced Practice Nurse in Prince of Wales Hospital. He graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with Bachelor Degree in Nursing and Master Degree of Science in Cardiology. After graduated, he has practiced in Hospital Authority for more than ten years.

In the course of the past ten years, he accumulated valuable experience in the field of cardiology and specialized in cardiac care nursing. He further explored structural heart interventions in Prince of Wales Hospital for years and has taken major role in the development of structural heart interventions in his unit.

He had been in charge of Coronary Care Unit in Prince of Wales Hospital. Presently he is responsible for Cardiovascular Intervention Centre. His duties included primary care of patients in acute ward setting, assisting the operational duties in Cardiac Intervention Center, handling cardiac emergencies, management of manpower, equipment and protocols.

Dr. Chun-Ka Wong is cardiologist and Clinical Assistant Professor from Queen Mary Hospital, The University of Hong Kong. Prof Randolph Wong is the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Cardiothoracic Division of the Department of Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Honorary Consultant of the Hospital Authority. He is also the Cluster Service Team Head of the New Territories East Cluster and Ex-Chairman of the Specialty Group of Cardiothoracic Surgery of Hospital Authority. He is the Secretary of Cardiothoracic Surgery Board of Hong Kong and a fellow of American College of Chest Physician, European Association of Cardio-Thoracic Society and member of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons, International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, and Asian Society for Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery.

Prof Wong’s career interests include complex open aortic surgery, hybrid thoracic aortic intervention, hybrid and minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures. He is the convener of Hybrid Operating Theatre management committee of Prince of Wales Hospital and actively participates in the development of hybrid cardiovascular interventions.

Tanya Yau Wing-sze is a graduate of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and received subspecialty cardiothoracic anesthesia training at Queen Mary Hospital and pediatric cardiac anesthesia training at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. She is currently the Consultant, Department of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at Queen Mary Hospital. She has concentrated her clinical experience in cardiac anaesthesia, cardiac procedures performed at QMH ranging from minimally invasive cardiac surgery, structural heart interventions, mechanical circulatory support, heart and lung transplantation to congenital heart surgery. Her interests are mechanical circulatory support, transesophageal echocardiography and perioperative blood management. She also focuses her research on nitric oxide application in extracorporeal membrane oxygenation.
